Apparently other places are thinking of doing the same thing.

From a legal perspective it is an interesting question whether a city or a state has the right to discriminate in such a fashion.

And if so, why haven't cities been banning companies that make military hardware?  And what would happen if they tried?

This wall business may be the dumbest thing ever. The Mexicans aren't Mongolian hoards so I don't think we need The Great Wall of America.

It bugs me when people grumble about undocumented workers but never consider that issue when they buy goods and services. For some reason people blame the workers rather then the business owners, CEOs and boards who hire the workers.

If Trump wants to change the status quo then he needs to go after the decision makers of US businesses that hire the undocumented. Those are the people responsible for the problem.

David, regarding your question about banning companies that make military hardware. This is an area I don't know much about. Can a public entity ban a company that provided legal goods or services to a federal agency? It doesn't sound quite right to me but on the other hand they're allowed to restrict the types of businesses that can bid on a contract so why can't that be part of the restriction?

I don't know the answer either.  It just seems odd to me that if a municipality, county or state can ban a company for doing construction (all of which is outside of your jurisdiction) that you don't approve of, then you should be able to ban any contractor for doing anything you don't like including making war supplies and equipment.

I won't be satisified until the Republicans resigns, all of them. And the Hillary Dems too.
